M/s. Nhava Sheva Container Operator Welfare Association, Mumbai heavy Vehicle Container Operators Association and CFS operators have decided to boycott the GTI (Maersk owned) Terminal from 08.00 a.m. on 27.06.2008 in the meeting held on 24.06.2008 in their office in JNPT as a token of protest as their grievances are pending unattended by GTI for long time. In view of the above boycott it is likely shipment movement may get hampered and the resultant will be port demurrage at all terminals. This may affect other terminals also.

Due to monsoons at Mumbai , heavy rainfall will have an impact on movement of vehicles in and around GTI and will create more CHAOS, which could lead to a delay in movement of import containers and the resultant would be port demurrage at all terminals.
