Non-Allowance Items for Safe Moving
PMR do not accept to move perishable goods, jewelry, hazardous materials like Fireworks,
Explosives, Chemicals, Gas filled cylinders, Battery Acids, Inflammable Oils; such as Diesel,
Petrol, Kerosene, Gasoline, Narcotics & Contraband items. However, a following comprehensive
list of dangerous, perishable and personal important items that will help you to move safely, by
reducing risk of damage to valuable goods and the risk of injury to yourself and people / moves
who would be handling your shipment.
Hazardous Materials:
Items that are considered hazardous include:
- Aerosol cans / Perfumes / Deodorants
- Ammonia
- Ammunition/Firearms/Fireworks
- Batteries/Car batteries
- Charcoal/lighter fluid
- Cleaning solvents/Detergents/Acids/Bleach
- Chemicals/Fertilizers
- Fire extinguishers
- Any Fuels/Oils/Kerosene
- Explosives/Match Box
- Nail polish
- Paint/Varnishes/Paint thinner
- Pesticides / Weed Killer / Poisons
- Propane tanks
- Scuba tanks
Perishable Items
Transporting foodstuffs and perishable items can put other stuff at great risk. That’s why we
don’t move things like:
- Food that hasn’t been properly preserved
- Frozen foods
- Open containers of foodstuffs
- Plants
- Refrigerated food
- Oils / Liquid.
Items of Personal or Sentimental Value
Items that have personal or sentimental value in nature should be carried along with the client
to avoid risk anything happening to them during move.
Items PMR shouldn’t pack include:
- Cash / Jewellery / Cheque Book
- Laptop / Computer data or backup files
- Family photographs
- Financial documents / Deeds /
- Insurance Policies / Academic Records
- Medicine / Medical records
- Keys (to anything)
